Namibia is a pristine land of untouched natural beauty; of vastness, of awe-inspiring contrasts and mystical splendour. What you find here, you'll keep forever. See you soon!

Hüttenhain is situated one hour and a half drive of Windhoek near Okahandja.

The farm was named after its first owner, a very unlucky German pioneer by the name of Hüttenhain. Mr Hüttenhain, a wealthy man, arrived in Southwest Africa (today Namibia), to start a large cattle ranching enterprise. Like may others of his contemporaries, he was ill prepared and did not know much about the realities of this harsh land.

Today Hüttenhain is a cattle and hunting farm, of 13.400 ha embedded in Namibias most richest hunting grounds. The farm is part of the Ombotozu Conservancy which has a size of 410.000 ha.

The terrain of Hüttenhain is flat - easy to walk but not necessarily too easy to hunt. To gain a better overview of the surroundings, it happens that your hunting guide, Sebastian von Koenen, or Mattheus, our second hunting guide and assistance, frequently has to climb ant hills or trees.

Hunting takes place in the early hours of the morning and the afternoon. The noon heat calls for refreshments at the pool side surrounded by an opulent garden.

Dinner, a skillfully composition of the afro-euro cuisine, is served (weather permitting) alongside a crackling open fire in true african style.

Accommodation is available in two comfortably furnished double rooms, each with its own bathroom. Further guest rooms are available in the farm house.
Hüttenhain is a hunting farm, where young generations are living old hunting traditions and the typical Namibian hospitality.

We wish you "A good Hunt".
Sebastian and Vanessa von Koenen
